Summary:
At OneDigital, this position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of IT M&A technology projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The position collaborates with other IT departments and the M&A team on functional, technical, capabilities and solutions to ensure business needs are met and are in alignment within the overall IT and M&A strategy. This position will support the IT M&A team and report into the IT Strategy & Governance team. The IT M&A PM should be a confident employee and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This individual will also be accountable for coordination of IT M&A project technical requirements, determining impact assessments and overseeing a project from planning to implementation.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilties
  • Ensure the finished project is supportable through frequent life-cycle communications with the operational team that will ultimately run the systems and processes being implemented.
  • Manage change control procedures.
  • Provides effective day-to-day project management of multiple IT technology related projects
  • Provides ongoing status updates on project progress, risks, change management and issue resolution. Leads issue identification, tracking, escalation, and resolution documentation. Monitors risk events before becoming issues and potential roadblocks.
  • Ensure proper and consistent communication to clients and internal leadership aligning with policy and procedures, SLAs, metrics reporting and contractual agreements
  • Manage deliverable estimation process, resource allocation and efficient utilization; negotiates resource conflicts with other project managers or resources managers as appropriate.
  • Very strong understanding of current technology concepts with the proven ability to successfully deliver technical projects, migrations, and application implementations, among other projects in a fast paced, high availability, ITIL environment.
  • Determine the personnel, capital resources, equipment, and tools needed to complete the project (i.e., know how to estimate). Proactively manage resource and scheduling issues.
  • Effectively manage and lead the successful delivery of the technology projects and requests from within various phases of delivery, across the entire lifecycle of Delivery within project timeline and budget.
  • Represents team recommendations to Senior Management, demonstrate influence over governance bodies, and communicate effectively via formal presentations.
  • Provides technical consulting and execution on projects requiring technology services
  • Manage multiple projects, with interdependencies in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Builds strong relationships with business and technology leaders. Understands business area opportunities and challenges, process or system impacts to all related business or systems areas when implementing recommended solution to obtain business objectives
  • High energy attitude with a desire to 'Get Stuff Done'
  • Produces detailed timeline for each integration and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the integration and reporting the status.
  • Identify project risks and set timelines to meet customer expectations.
  • Works with the Business Solutions and Product teams when new applications are acquired to ensure ongoing support and awareness.
  • Build a structured approach to successfully complete the project in the allotted time.
  • Partners closely with IT teams, understanding their plans and initiatives. Able to define projects vs. normal support work and develop project scope and plans.
  • Drive project issues through to resolution using the methodology established for the department.
  • Communicate status of the program to all stakeholders in business units and other leaders
  • Establish a pragmatic, detailed plan to ensure the project is executed and meets the goals of the sponsor. Identify and articulate the risks of the project.
  • Act as a conduit between within IT and business stakeholders
  • Influence effectively between the Business Owners, Project Managers (PMs), and Operations Teams to support delivery, risk mitigation, change management, and issue resolution
  • Partner with IT Leadership, IT M&A team and M&A team to identify project deliverables, develop project scope, and manage resources and activities to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget while delighting our customers.
  • Develop written project plans that are understandable and match the capacity and ability of the organization. Effectively communicate those plans with all project team members and leadership constituents.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities and assistance for infrastructure related projects
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Proven, successful experience in managing multiple, concurrent, technical projects
  • Experience delivering iterative solutions using both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
  • Ability to discuss complex technical concepts to the technical staff, stakeholders, and business executives in a simple straightforward manner.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new complex technical concepts and resolve issues with them in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Communicates technical issues, impact, and risk mitigation strategies in business terminology that can be communicated to and understood by non-technical.
  • Working knowledge of some: Microsoft platform, Windows servers and clients, Windows OS Upgrades, Data networking, Security
  • Experience managing IT projects and/or M&A integrations
  • Communicative and social, assertive, and enthusiastic
  • Experience at working both independently and in a cross functional team-oriented environment is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing IT technology projects and large-scale projects
  • Ability to facilitate solutions in a complex IT technology and business environment and able to adapt quickly to change.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (including Visio and Powerpoint)
  • Financial acumen and with experience in defining/managing IT project budgets
  • Demonstrated planning skills and a proven ability to lead teams in a multi-project environment
  • Understanding of technology concepts, trends, and capabilities
  • PMP Certification highly desired
  • Has an ability to understand people and technologies with the ability to know what questions to ask to guide someone through solving a problem (without knowing the subject matter)
  • Experience with Smartsheets is a plus
  • Ability to assess and deliver appropriate level of detail and comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to facilitate discussion and discover alternatives or different approaches
Location:
  • Position is based in Atlanta HQ as a hybrid position, 3 days a week in office and 2 days remote.
