Morgan Stanley Private Bank, NA is seeking an experienced credit professional to join the International Banking & Lending group and partner with a team of International Lending Advisors (“ILA”), International Private Bankers (“PB”) and International Client Advisors (“ICA”) in the development and growth of the credit portfolio for International Wealth Management (“IWM”) clients.

Job Overview


Business analysis and support – Analyze complex business processes, workflows and product support models to identify opportunities for enhancements. Ability to visually represent and articulate critical information, size impacts and model resource requirements, costs, implementation timelines on initiatives and coordinate across multiple groups and stakeholders to implement enhancements.


  • Develop and maintain data analysis, diagnostic and evaluative models, visualizations and reporting on key performance, adoption and risk metrics. Collect analyze growth data (balance, revenue, penetration) by FA
  • Project management – provide project management support on complex initiatives supporting and driving progress and accountability to advance portfolio of initiatives for the business. Collect inputs and prepare weekly project progress updates; document meeting outcomes, key decisions and next steps, identify and communicate with task owners to drive accountability and accelerate progress. Develop PowerPoint presentations to provide business overviews, strategic updates, growth initiative updates.
  • Risk management – participate in analysis of the lending portfolio to help identify risks, coordinate with specialists the remediation of the risks. Be responsible for tracking and monitor risk metrics and reporting. Coordinate and support management in preparing/tracking progress from weekly and quarterly reviews with Credit Risk.
  • Develop management presentations and communications to articulate initiatives progress and to support business management and development. Develop environmental and competitor assessments, gap analysis of international cash management and lending capabilities.


Required Skills/ Experiences


  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, and under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with other technical professionals to align on calculations methodologies, infrastructure, data-bases
  • 5 years of relevant experience as a data analyst, general data management, project management. Governance in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of various systems and coding languages (e.g. Microsoft software, SQL, Impala, Python)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or other related technical fields
  • Strong at synthesizing data into stories and creating presentation slides to help with data-driven decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills, freely develops networks, builds consensus, prioritizes effectively, and develops alliances across organizations
  • Strong at translating a business need into technical requirement, and vise-versa being able to translate data results into actionable initiatives
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and bring focus with recommendations on solving tactical and strategic challenges


Technical Skills


  • Problem Solving: Identify, communicate and escalate watch items and issues to move the projects forward. Offer suggestions and seek workarounds when encountering obstacles
  • Data Applications: Advanced knowledge of Tableau, Dataiku, SAAS, and SQL
  • Excel: Ability to work with data: connect varying data sets, create pivot tables, models and summarizations on growth initiatives, experience /onboarding, product penetration and client and advisors segmentations. Track balance and revenue growth. Ability to synthesize data, identify and graph trends and pro
  • PowerPoint: Prepare high- impact, executive level presentations for project reporting, business updates and strategy. Consolidate inputs from project leads to prepare summaries in support of project meetings, milestone reporting, etc.
  • Analytical Skills: Analysis and interpretive skills processing data and information. Synthesizing and distilling important points. Ability to highlight key insights and implications from evaluation of alternatives.


Communications Skills


  • Verbal: Articulate clearly key concepts, requirements, accountabilities and timelines. Collaborate with team members, key constituents and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive progress.
  • Written: Developing high impact, executive level presentations for various updates, strategic and initiative management presentations.


Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
