Exact duties will vary. Day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with:

Supporting media relationships and outreach

Tracking and compiling news coverage analytics and helping monitor breaking news coverage

Promote awareness of existing practice management resources through collaboration with our practice administrator colleagues.

Work with the AMA, CMS, private payers, and other otolaryngology specialty societies to achieve common goals and leverage resources.

Advocate for appropriate reimbursement and decreased administrative burdens for practicing otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeons.

Develop new materials, resources and tools to further educate members on evolving private payer and reimbursement issues.

Enhance and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with other specialty societies, third party payers, professionals and organizations as appropriate.

Lead discussions related to Academy’s CPT/RUC activities and facilitate preparation of physician leader presentations, including CPT application submissions.

Provide project management and logistical solutions.

Demonstrated ability to execute advocacy campaign-related deliverables, such as convenings, reports, sign-on letters, partnership agreements, and/or relationship-management databases.

Contribute to program’s media and public education work, including strategy, talking points, and speaking engagements.

A bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience are required.

Experience holding full-time responsibility in a campaign setting such as electoral campaigns, issue or legislative campaigns, or community organizing.

Strong interpersonal skills and the desire and ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside the organization.

Outstanding project and team management skills including demonstrated ability to lead teams and organizations from strategy development through execution.

Foster and manage partnerships and alliances to advance and refine policy, advocacy, and communications strategies based on field and financial data

Experience in strategic portfolio development and alignment with goals and impact.

7+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience.

Developing and coordinating the execution of advocacy and communications strategies.

Demonstrating leadership and using foundation voice to implement advocacy strategies.

Work both individually and as part of a team to guide and manage effective fundinginvestments.

Experience: Three or more years of work experience that demonstrates the ability to achieve essential outcomes of the position.

Plan, organize, and facilitate meetings, convenings, webinars, etc. with strategic and community partners.

Initiate, foster, and maintain relationships with grantees, contractors, advocates, and organizers across Missouri.
