Job Description

McKinley Marketing Partners' large nonprofit client is looking for an advocacy campaign associate to join their team for an 18-month, W2 contractor. You will work closely with state offices to assist with political and nonprofit campaigns on email and grassroots campaigns.


This position has the ability to be fully remote. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: DC, VA, MD, AR, CO, GA, FL, IL, NC, NJ, NY, PA, MA, or TX. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.


Responsibilities

  • Reports and provides feedback to cross-disciplinary teams on maintenance and enhancement items within Salesforce apps based on work with states
  • Share best practices and provide recommendations around design, user experience, integrating online tactics, and other grassroots campaigns
  • Help manage the Salesforce suite of tools
  • Deliver strong technical support to states for crafting and sending emails, building landing pages, petitions, questionnaires, selecting audiences, etc., within the Salesforce platform
  • Develop UMP audit on state office use to review past email sends, landing pages, etc., including audience targeting, and provide recommendations for growth
  • Support AARP’s state offices with strategic online campaign planning, execution, and reporting


Requirements

  • Staff training experience with online tools
  • Ability to work with others at varying levels of expertise/knowledge
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent data management and technical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable areas; marketing, advertising, communication
  • Experience in the political, campaign, or non-profit arena, developing and running high-impact grassroots campaigns, including building strategies, executing tactics, and rapid response
