Job Description
Inside the Role
Lead a team of internal and external partners in organizational, system and process changes to achieve Aftermarket Inbound Logistics strategic initiatives and meet daily operational targets. Drive communication technology transformation to enable service parts network visibility. Manage team in the areas of Inbound Logistics Operations, Technology and Finance. Manage a third party logistics provider to achieve operational excellence. Manage third party freight audit provider to deliver financial transparency. Participate in strategic planning for Aftermarket Supply Chain projects and work in collaboration with other departmental managers, under the direction of the department director. Work in concert with leadership to resolve issues and allocate resources to Aftermarket Inbound Logistics strategic business initiatives and projects. Develop processes and procedures to ensure timely responses to internal and external customers with a high level of quality and reliability.

Position offers a starting salary range of $121,500 - $155,500 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Provide audit checks for budget, scope, schedule, and quality or projects within assigned portfolio.
  • Empower and manage a team responding quickly to short-term changes in demand or supply to handle external disruptions smoothly. Drive adjustments in supply chain design to meet structural market shifts; modify network to emerging strategies, products, and technologies. Create incentive for better performance and become the industry benchmark.
  • Mentor personnel on processes and related techniques. Identify departmental/ projects and/ or individual trends in performance strengths and weaknesses.
  • Manage in a compliant fashion external service providers to accomplish goals of supply chain visibility.
  • Establish departmental sequencing of activities based on a set prioritization process to create an end to end (supplier to customer) delivery visibility and transparency.
  • Manage a portfolio of Projects to properly assess the allocation of resources and to ensure projects align with the business unit strategic plan. Manage, monitor, and identify project interdependency within assigned portfolio.
  • Use all forms of communication to provide project/ departmental/ organization strategic/ tactical through leadership.
  • Manage team that serve as primary contact for the daily inbound transportation operations moving parts from suppliers into PDCs and working cross-functionally to ensure network efficiencies as well as management of external logistics business partners to ensure transportation cost transparency and accuracy. Steer current and future operations projects to meet deliverables in a timely manner, within scope and on budget.
  • Manage team that serves as primary business contact for systems and who collaborate with DTNA IT and Penske Logistics IT to ensure business needs are met in current and future IT projects including logistics processes and reporting are fully leveraging benefits of communication technology to maximize visibility for our internal and external customers. Track, monitor and measure the benefit of implemented solutions for complex issues, applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues.

Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven ability to integrate multiple projects requirements effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and, oral and written communication skills
  • 6 years of experience including 2 years group leader / supervisory / project lead experience
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional/matrix organization
  • Proven people leadership skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • BS/BA + 8 years of professional experience (or 3 years of direct relevant experience) or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Experience with financial impact analysis and presentation
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry, specifically aftermarket supply chain operations
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience in Aftermarket systems, e.g. Paragon
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration
  • Data analytics skills, ability to drive decisions using data
