About the job

HR Specialist



Who We're Looking For:

The HR Specialist will work closely with the HR Business Partner and Payroll & Benefits Specialist, overseeing a multi-state workforce of 150 employees. This position will lead the Recruiting and Onboarding functions as well as provide general administrative support. The right candidate will be resourceful, organized and have a strong attention to detail.

What You’ll Do:


Recruitment:

  • Posts job openings in ATS System (JazzHR) and to industry specific job boards
  • Supports hiring manager with reviewing candidate resumes
  • Maintains position descriptions and job postings
  • Conducts initial phone screens and coordinates scheduling of candidate interviews
  • Sends candidate offer letters
  • Ensures timely follow up with candidates


Onboarding:

  • Coordinates new hire training
  • Enters new hire into HRIS system (UKG)
  • Drafts and sends internal new hire announcements
  • Processes new hire background checks, onboarding paperwork, and I-9’s


HR Administration:

  • Acts as resource and back-up to payroll, benefits, and accounting functions
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Processes employee promotions, new hires, and terminations in Office 365 database
  • Maintains electronic personnel files, employee directories and org charts
  • Works on special projects as needed
  • Assists employees with general HR or policy inquiries
  • Assists with organizing employee engagement events
  • Assists with HRIS administration as needed


Job requirements:

  • Experience with Adobe Sign preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field
  • Experience with UKG or other HRIS system preferred
  • Experience with JazzHR or other ATS system is preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum 1 year of recruiting and onboarding experience is required

What to expect:

  • We offer flexibility for occasional work from home
  • No travel, except for on rare occasions for a continuing education
  • Typical work week: Mon thru Fri (8 A.M. to 5 P.M.) in office
