Human Resources Senior Director

We are working with our client Wright-Ryan Construction in seeking a Human Resources Senior Director, to be based in their Portland, ME office. This is a hands-on senior leadership position that provides daily operational support, contributes to high level strategic decision making, manages employee relations and supports all employee engagement activities. This position has the option of four days in the office and one remote.
Requirements of the Human Resources Senior Director:
- Eight to ten years increasingly responsible HR generalist experience including broad-based HR policy and program development, employee relations, recruitment, compensation & benefits, compliance, and training.
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate problems, assess potential issues, recognize when corrective action is necessary, and formulate and implement corrections.
- Superior people-problem solving skills - Ability to address and resolve problems with tact and understanding.
- Minimum SHRM-CP credential with interest in pursuing SHRM-SCP within the next 2 years.
- Ability to commute to Portland, ME office at least four days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits of the Job:
- Annual salary between $100,000 to $140,000 to commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Senior Director:
- Directs total compensation programs, which includes benefits and other incentives.
- Manages the HR department, with one direct report and one dotted line report.
- Administers all HR centric policies, procedures, as well as all HR compliance management.
- Provides counsel and support for all employee relations situations.
- The Senior Director of HR sits on the Senior leadership team and participates in companywide strategic planning, organizing and decision making for short and long-term objectives.
- Oversees the talent management process from hiring to orientation and onboarding.
