Marcum LLP is seeking a Human Resources Generalist (HRBP) to join our growing and well-established national firm. This position requires an experienced HR professional with strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the talent acquisition and onboarding processes for entry-level and experienced new hires.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Manage the performance evaluation process, buddy and mentor programs as well as the employee recognition programs.
  • Meet with staff regularly to obtain an understanding of their growth needs and project preferences and set expectations regarding skill demand and possible opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the extended HR team to implement or improve programs and processes in benefits administration, compliance, learning and development, appreciation and recognition and employee relations.
  • Work closely with management to solve key problems and provide innovative solutions around people and culture.
  • Educate and partner with employees on performance management, career development and training goals.
  • Works with the Office Managing Partner on various office management duties.
  • Act as a business partner to Partners on employee matters such as performance management, employee staffing, headcount, coaching, work/life balance and retention.

Qualifications:
  • Mid-level technology skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint required
  • In office on a regular basis with the ability to travel to other regional offices on occasion.
  • Experience supporting a public accounting or professional services firm preferred
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred
  • Working knowledge of human resource information systems required.
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required - Human Resource Management or similar degree preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment.
