Job Description
Our valued client, Bauer Welding and Metal Fabricators, is looking for an HR Leader to effectively manage and optimize the organization's human capital ensuring a skilled, motivated, and engaged workforce that aligns with the company's goals and values. The HR leader plays a critical role in the following areas: Staffing, Training & Development, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Human Capital Management Systems, Policy & Procedure as well as Employee Relations.


Major Responsibilities of this role are:


  • Processing and distributing bi-weekly payroll
  • Performing benefit administration to include claims resolution, changing reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
  • Administering compensation and performance evaluation programs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Administering various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; assisting in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; preparing and maintaining employee handbook
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and orienting new employees
  • Working with outside vendors related to benefits, insurance, and retirement plans
  • Handling employee relations-- counseling, discussing and documenting personnel issues
  • Maintaining and advising officers on compliance with federal and state employment regulations


Desired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:


  • Responsibility, integrity and confidentiality is of utmost importance
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Paylocity) and familiarity with employment law
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion
  • Ability to train others
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels within the company
  • Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and prioritize needs, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 8 or more years in a HR Generalist role
