Description


Essential Duties:


  • If needed, assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares all monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reporting.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Responsible for portions of the offboarding process including IT tickets, exit interviews, collection of equipment, and updating HRIS.
  • Maintains HR page on MacQueen’s intranet site and responsible for updating content including the anniversaries and birthdays and weekly staffing updates.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Submits annual vendor reports for Employee Service Award program.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Monitors HR inbox on a daily basis and responds to employee questions and requests.
  • Manage employee onboarding process from offer acceptance through new hire orientation.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims. Coordinates participation at hearings with managers, unemployment service and Hearing Officer.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors


Essential Qualifications:


  • 2-year degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail
  • Proficient usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Experience with Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and similar computer applications
  • Experience in an office setting such as Human Resources, Customer Service, or Business


ADA Requirements:


  • Occasional exposure to typical shop hazards.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, or otherwise move about frequently; transfer items up to 15 lbs.
  • Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent use of a computer.
