As a key player in our HR team, you will support employee benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and various administrative tasks. Essential Functions
Be the heart of our HR programs: You will assist in the smooth administration of our various human resource initiatives, ensuring that our employees have access to the support they need.
Deliver exceptional customer service: Responding to employee inquiries and providing guidance on HR programs, policies, and benefits will be a crucial part of your role. Your friendly and approachable demeanor will help foster a positive and supportive work environment.
Ensure compliance: Help us maintain legal compliance by completing and verifying Forms I-9, managing documentation, and assisting with terminations. Your attention to detail will be invaluable in keeping our records accurate and up to date.
Be the welcoming face of our company: You will play a vital role in the onboarding process, ensuring new employees have a seamless transition into our organization. Your warm and friendly approach will set the stage for their success.
Support performance evaluations: Collaborate with the HR Manager to prepare for the performance review process. Your assistance will help recognize our employees' achievements and contribute to their professional growth.
Drive recruitment efforts: Assist with the recruitment and interview process, tracking candidates' progress in our HRIS system. Your organized approach and timely follow-up will ensure a smooth hiring experience for all parties involved.
Foster growth and community engagement: Help us track and support professional development and volunteer time off requests. Your efforts will contribute to the personal growth and well-being of our team members.
Be the backbone of HR operations: Support the HR Manager with projects and initiatives, utilizing your strong HR knowledge and familiarity with industry policies and standards. Your contributions will help shape our HR strategies and practices.
Qualifications
Background Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with at least 2 years of human resource experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that showcases your abilities.
While not required, holding a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is a definite plus.
Strong understanding of HR principles, local, state, and federal regulations, and industry policies.
Previous experience in the Specialty Food industry is a bonus, allowing you to make informed recruitment decisions and align with our company's guidelines and culture.
Proven experience in leading project teams and collaborating with others towards common goals.
Comfortable with technology, including video conferencing software and HRIS systems, as you'll be utilizing them regularly.
Skill & Ability Requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Impeccable organizational skills and an eye for detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient HR processes.
Proficient time management skills, allowing you to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, and experience with Namely and/or ADP is a plus.
Additional Information
Location/Travel Requirements:
This role involves minimal travel (<10%).
We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
