Human Resources (Hr) Assistant

A Human Resources Assistant position has opened up with a company that is looking for a candidate to join their team on a short-term contract. The company has a reputation for an amazing work environment and is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to join their team. The candidate's duties will include handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks while providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Offered on a short-term contract / temporary basis, this HR Assistant position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the industry within the Milan, Michigan area.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee database documents
• Explore the internet to uncover potential customers
• Oversee office and administrative tasks
• Organize new employee on-boarding orientation methods

Requirements

• Solid understanding of HRIS
• Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
• Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
• Demonstrated knowledge of compensation and benefits
• Foundational knowledge in benefits payroll
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Proficiency in Human Resources Management System
• Command of Human Resources (HR) Administration
• Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor
• Practical knowledge of Talent Acquisition
• Capable in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• Adeptness in Payroll Functions
• Payroll experience highly desired
• General familiarity with Onboarding
