Hr Manager Jobs

Our client seeks a Human Resource Manager / HR Manager to be responsible for the administration, retention, and development of 200 employees in their Newton, IA office.

This is a full-time, direct hire position, where you will earn up to $110,000 per year, depending on your experience. You will work 100% on site Monday – Friday daytime hours.

As an HR Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Recruiting
• Partnering with manager/team to ensure complete understanding of human capital needs and objectives
• Managing the leadership team’s staffing and development requirements
• Developing processes to foster open communication and employee engagement
• Training
• Overseeing compliance
• Counseling and assisting employee and management issues
• Other duties as assigned
• Planning, organizing, and directing all HR department activities
• Possible work/maintenance coverage outside of normal work hours
• Developing and administering HR strategic plans and procedures
• Reporting

To be considered, you must have at least seven (7) years of HR experience, plus three (3) years in manufacturing. You must also have:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of state and federal labor and employment laws
• 3 years Manufacturing experience (fast paced environment a plus)
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures
• Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business, Industrial Relations, or related field)
• 7 years HR experience
