Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Assistant may carry out responsibilities in the following areas: Onboarding and Offboarding, HRIS, Training and Development, Benefits, Leaves of Absence, Workers' Compensation, and Organizational Development.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists with on-boarding, including new hire orientation, facilitates and/or provides training
• Supports retention initiatives, HRIS Administration and employment digital recordkeeping/files ensuring compliance, data integrity and information security
• Participates in other HR functions as a part of a team
• Supports company benefit program; including enrollment, orientation, COBRA, benefit administration and other related topics
• Provides customer service, both in-person and by telephone; screen and direct telephone calls; take and relay messages; answer questions from employees regarding human resources topics, rules, and regulations; salary and benefit surveys, and other requests for information
• Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of HR department and services performed
• Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned
• Provides general administrative support to the Human Resources Department, such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, processing confidential reports, documents, filing electronic and hard copy
