Help Desk Technician Level 1

A person in this position will provide a blend of technical and analytical support, along with on-site or virtual/remote technical support services for employees.

Provide remote and hands-on support, such as connecting computers, printers and phones to the wired and wireless networks.

Install software, updates and upgrades on computers, phones and other applicable devices on the network

Configure new computers, reconfigure and re-purpose older machines and set up workstations for new employees

Maintain accurate asset inventory counts and updated records

Maintain clear, accurate and up to date documentation

Associates degree preferred but not required. Prior experience a plus. A+ and/or Network + certifications or equivalent preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Proficient skills with Microsoft Desktop operating systems

Strong written and oral communication skills

Detail oriented and able to function in a team environment as well as independent work

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Ability to multitask.

Apply knowledge and sound judgment using established guidelines.

Maintain positive attitude towards team members and co-workers

Work Conditions

Office environment. Infrequent outdoor or construction area work.

Able to routinely stand, sit, bend and stoop.

Occasionally carry loads up to 50 lbs.

Must be flexible to work nights and weekends when required

Must be willing to attend and complete training requirements
