Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing counsel to employees when conflict or performance issues arise; bringing empathy, wise discernment, excellent problem-solving skills and ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices.
  • Working with company leadership to schedule and facilitate thoughtful and effective feedback conversations and performance reviews.
  • Advising leadership and liaising with outside legal counsel when issues need to be escalated.
  • Consulting with company leadership on organizational structure & new staff needs.
  • Leading internal DEI initiatives and promoting an inclusive company culture; including (but not limited to) potential changes to company policy or processes, staff educational opportunities, guest speakers and/or additional leadership training or workshops.
  • Partnering with senior staff to develop and lead meaningful staff engagements—including staff retreats and meetings—that strengthen relationships, build culture and company morale.
  • Leading ongoing recruiting efforts, hiring and on-boarding processes
  • On-boarding of new staff members, including reference or background checks, new hire paperwork, training schedules and weekly check-ins.
  • Researching & recruiting candidates, identifying new and diverse talent pools, drafting & posting job descriptions, conducting candidate interviews.
