Head Of Events (Founder Community)

Maker is building the home for young founders shaping the world, and we’re looking for an exceptional Head of Events to join our team and help bring this vision to life.

The Community

• Maker is a vibrant community of 100+ young founders from Sequoia, Y Combinator, a16z, the Thiel Fellowship, Forbes 30 under 30, and more. Members have collectively raised over $1 billion.
• We curate founder peer groups and events: retreats, meetups, and private Q&As with notable figures like the founders of Dropbox, Instacart, Eventbrite, The Chainsmokers, and more. Here’s a recap from our last retreat.

Role Qualifications

• Understanding of startup founders and their needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong interest in bringing people together in creative and meaningful ways.
• Experience in community-building, event planning, and/or partnerships.

What You'll Do

• Engage actively with members. Foster a sense of community, shape Maker's culture, and build meaningful 1:1 relationships.
• Plan and execute meetups and retreats. You'll be the creative mastermind behind Maker's iconic experiences, with full creative freedom and budget.
• Manage the day-to-day of the community. Help maintain the community's health and be a key leader members can rely on.
• Establish partnerships with other organizations. Build relationships with likeminded brands to further support our community events.

This role is full-time (option for part-time avail) and remote (LA, SF, or NYC preferred).

Compensation: $60k-$80k with high growth potential as Makes scales.
