Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for an experienced Start-up Finance Leader to become the Head of Finance for a Tech company in the Bay Area. This is a hybrid role, which will require being in office in the City of San Francisco a few days each week.

As the Financial Leader for the organization, you'll be able to use your entrepreneurial spirit and your desire to greatly contribute to the success of the accounting/finance function by wearing multiple hats. This role provides you the opportunity to touch all aspects of Accounting and Finance from working with Accountants in the preparation of financial statements and financial modeling to conducting the FP&A process and managing A/P and A/R. As an integral member of the senior leadership team, you will have specific responsibility for the development of financial strategies by forecasting capital, cash burn rate, and runway; identifying monetary resources, and developing action plans. You will facilitate cross-departmental relationships and will work on special accounting/finance projects to help the company achieve results. You bring with you experience in accounting software, such as Quickbooks online, that has assisted you in preparing complex journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and in the preparation of annual audits. In your finance role at a previous early-stage startup, you have developed and executed SOPs for reporting, budgets and financial planning. This is a start-up Head of Finance position, so in addition to your strategic responsibilities, you must also have a 'roll-up-you-sleeves' attitude and be willing to do tasks such as A/P, A/R, collections, payroll, etc.

If you have a bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or relevant degree (MBA preferred), combined with a minimum of 5 years' of experience in corporate finance, accounting, FP&A, or strategic finance, preferably within an early stage growth, entrepreneurial organization, this could be the right position for you. You ideally will also bring with you experience in management consulting, private equity, or strategic finance. You have a successful track record and expertise in identifying and driving value in an organization, as well as a reputation for being a trusted business advisor who fosters strategic organizational improvement and success. You are known for being an excellent people manager and enjoy coaching and mentoring, while also rolling up your sleeves to show your direct reports how to accomplish objectives. You have the ability to communicate financial analytics in a clear and concise manner and you are highly capable of leading complex negotiations. You have a strong interest in overall business operations, and you are a big-picture thinker who is comfortable and effective working both at a strategic and a tactical level. You must also have an understanding of fintech and SaaS.

Salary Range: $150,000-$200,000
