Fitness Manager Jobs

• Collaborates with Assisted Living/Memory Support Lifestyle Manager, Skilled Nursing

Lifestyle Manager, Director of Home Care, and contracted Physical Therapist to
streamline fitness programs for residents in all care venues.

• Develops surveys and assessment tools to assess effectiveness of fitness programs and

activities across all care settings.

• Conducts train-the-trainer sessions for direct reports on delivery of community-wide

fitness related programming.

• Coordinates with residents' physicians to obtain medical clearance for residents
• Facilitates presentations and workshops related to fitness for residents in all care venues.

interested in participating in an individualized fitness program.

• Conducts one-on-one fitness assessments; designs and implements customized fitness

program for residents of different ability levels.

• Teaches a variety of land-based and aquatics exercise classes in the community.
• Evaluates and responds to programming needs of residents pertaining to physical activity

programs.

• Interacts with staff, residents and/or family members to provide educational

programs/consultation on health and fitness-related topics. Submits health and fitness related articles for the newsletter.

• Works with Lifestyle Director to deliver brain fitness programming to residents where

appropriate and when applicable.

• Assists corporate Marketing team and Lifestyle Director in promoting the Company

(e.g., National Senior Health and Fitness Day)

• Conducts strength and cardiovascular equipment demonstrations on proper technique

and ensures all residents have sufficient knowledge and skill when using the equipment.

• Where applicable, responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising,

evaluating, disciplining and terminating Assistant Fitness Coordinator.

• Serves as liaison to all outdoor fitness and recreational clubs and auxiliaries.
• May perform CPR and render First Aid in emergency situations.
