As the NA FP&A Manager, you will leading the planning and forecasting activities for all parts of the North American business and have ownership of the rolling three year plan which drives long-term strategic planning. In addition, you will work closely with the President of NA, providing analytical support around key business initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about the organization and develop relationships within finance and business leaders across North America while recognizing the different perspectives and priorities of executives and functional groups within the Company to effectively meet the diverse needs and timing of the various business leaders.


What You’ll Do:


Coordination and execution of the monthly NA forecast and annual 3-year plan: (45%)


  • Drive standardization & process improvement across all planning aspects including best practices
  • Evolve forecasting cycle beyond income statement to include balance sheet and cash flows
  • Provide detailed and value added variance analysis around forecast/plan
  • Works closely with accounting teams to understand actual results at a detailed level, to assist in forecast analysis and continuous improvement
  • Sets cadence and process for monthly 24-month rolling forecasts and 3-year plan
  • Provide risk-adjusted analysis which links business contingencies to plan performance (e.g. headcount costs, key input costs, etc)
  • Prepare monthly forecast reporting and present directly to senior leadership
  • Serves as central review point of business unit forecast and plan submissions


Provide analytical support to the VP of NA Finance and President of NA, around key business initiatives by: (20%)


  • Recognizing the different perspectives and priorities of executives and functional groups within the Company to effectively meet the diverse needs and timing of the various business leaders.
  • Proactively use business acumen to develop statistical models to solve critical business issues
  • Instinctively recognizes inconsistencies in financial data and initiates appropriate corrective action
  • Understanding the business and competitive positioning of the Company and applying this understanding to the application of strategic staffing planning and recommendations; and


Manages and create bottoms up budgets for NA by function (25%):


  • Ensuring key forecast/plan reporting is easy-to-use, robust and provides the right level of support for end users
  • Meets regularly with cost center owners to adjust MG&A and SG&A forecasts and deliver actuals


Partners with Global FP&A to implement new global standards, systems and processes. (10%)

What You’ll Bring:


  • Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers
  • Collaborative business partner who can work with other functions to drive results
  • Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements and/or new systems
  • Advanced degree considered a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of accounting rules, allocations, accruals, etc.
  • Building, manufacturing, or industrial sector experience a plus
  • Articulates views in a clear and concise manner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (must be from an accredited institution)
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex and detailed data into meaningful insights
  • Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
  • Experience in data manipulation, algorithms, advanced math and statistical modeling
  • Ability to connect the bigger picture to day to day operations of the organization
  • Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals
  • Multi-year financial planning, including crafting complex business and financial models
  • 10+ years of overall Finance experience
  • Presents compelling arguments to support positions
  • Proven expertise at business model innovation and definition
