The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, under the direction of the Director of Finance, will develop financial models and analytics to support project development, investment analysis and financial forecasting for LanzaJet. The role will require you to identify financial inputs, test assumptions and assess and communicate the economic impact of financial results to management.

This individual must develop a strong knowledge of the project pipeline for future Alcohol to Jet plants and will assist in modeling for profitability and to assist in determining strategic direction. This individual will also be involved in tracking project and operational forecasts and reporting vs actual results. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, a collaborative outlook, and enjoy working across functional boundaries.

Specific Responsibilities

• Research and report on industry and commodity trends for feedstock, jet fuel and renewables markets and incorporate into reporting
• Expertise in collecting, analyzing, and managing quantitative data and creating reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports with detailed variance analysis
• Exposure to pricing and related analytics preferably in the oil and gas or related industry
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial operating results to provide information and guidance
• Root cause analysis, uncovering core issues using data, recommending, developing, and implementing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
• Expertise in applying accrual-based accounting to build financial forecasts
• Manage the annual operating plan, forecasting, and financial reporting at both the plant and parent level
• Ability to communicate, coordinate and partner with other cross-functional leaders to develop forecasts and to provide insight regarding core issues.
• Ability to program models to test sensitivities with ability to measure risks and reward and recommend most effective path forward

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, including with executive leadership
• 5+ years of progressive responsibility analyzing trends, data, budgeting, financials, forecast and accounting
• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• Experience with data compilation across systems and processes, as well as financial modeling
• Ability to work successfully in rapidly changing environments, including the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and drive projects to completion
• Strong analytical skills budgeting, forecasting and applying BI reporting tools required
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, and creatively, while applying sound business judgment
• Knowledge of cost accounting and GAAP accounting standards
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Should be a team player, reliable, detail-oriented, high integrity, objective attitude, organized, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Translating financial information into a format that effectively communicates key business issues
