Safety

• Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.

Record Keeping

• Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
• Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
• Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assesses skin integrity and assists in transfer of patient post- operativ
• Special Requests (based on training and experience)
• Provides exposure, assists in achieving homeostasis with surgeon’s super
• Applies appropriate dressing material specific to procedur
• Provides manipulation and dissection and / or removal of tissues, aids in implanting, securing, and/or removal of devises and dra
• Performs layered closure of surgical sites utilizing appropriate techniques according to individual surgeon preference.
• Facilitate safe positioning of patient according to the surgeon’s preference, patient’s anatomical and physiological limits, and surgical procedure to be performe
• Applies splints or casts specific to procedure and/ or injury.
• Assist surgeon with passing instruments or suture and basic assisting.
• Assist surgeon with gowning, gloving, prepping and draping.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Licenses and Certification

• Certification (CNOR) for Certified First Assist
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse License

Experience And Skills

• Technical Experience: 2 years of OR experience
• COVID Vaccination
