The role of Finance Director – FP&A and Performance Management will serve as a key member of the Diageo North America FP&A team. The candidate will be leading the FP&A corporate team, playing a key role in influencing the strategic direction of the business through a combination of insightful analysis and business partnering to executive team of Diageo North America. In this unique position, excelling in business understanding, financial capabilities, and inter-personal skills will be the components of significant valuable impact.


Accountabilities


  • Develop and standardize board level reports and presentations.
  • Lead and support the delivery of process simplification and standardization
  • Partner with Accounting and Investor Relations to support the quarterly earnings process and regulatory filings.
  • Continually drive for best practice and develop a culture for innovation
  • Lead the company-wide headcount planning and expense budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Partner with Financial systems team to build and deliver a financial systems integration roadmap
  • Manage key elements of financial planning, closing and reporting processes (Strategic Plan, AOP, Outlook, actuals and O&R) for P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Support investment and resources allocation decision
  • Develop an efficient and effective planning process for the organization, ensuring all internal and external factors are considered in developing a robust plan
  • Be a business partner to Executive team to provide the thought leadership and challenge on strategic issues
  • Proactively identify insights that focus on all opportunities and risks to the delivery of our plans and provoke actions to drive performance improvements.
  • Lead the company-wide headcount planning and expense budgeting and forecasting process.


Qualifications And Experienced Required


  • S&OP and business performance management
  • Prior experience on a global organization or global role
  • Structured financial analysis to support decision making.
  • Business performance management
  • Understanding of internal controls & accounting principles.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in a dynamic financial organization partnering with various other functions
  • Critical Finance Capabilities and consistent track record of outstanding financial and strategic analysis and delivering meaningful recommendations based on this analysis.
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate finance/FP&A required, preferably in a consumer good company
