We're looking for an Employee Relations Lead to help make Pinterest a place where everyone can learn, grow, and do the best work of their lives. Your focus? To partner with employees and managers as they work through their most challenging moments, guiding us toward outcomes that are thoughtful, equitable, and in line with our values. In this role, you'll be a shaper and steward of Pinterest's culture, leveraging insights from your work to identify trends and create proactive solutions to address them.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, coaching, advising, and empowering them to work through even their most challenging people issues.
  • Analyze people experience trends, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve our processes and develop proactive strategies, programs, and policies; and
  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Legal, Leadership, etc.) to facilitate prompt, fair, and effective resolution of employee relations concerns.
  • Manage a team of Employee Relations Partners handling a variety of employee relations concerns.
  • Advise on corrective and preventative measures based on root cause analysis from investigations, pragmatic business enhancements and mitigation strategies, including identification of training needs.
  • Conduct and coordinate internal investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation to facilitate prompt, fair and effective resolution of issues.

  • A deep sense of empathy for the employee experience, including an awareness of the social & cultural context that shapes that experience.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices to manage legal risk.
  • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Speaking of good judgment, you have it in spades— plus a strong sense for when to operate independently, and when to seek support on an issue.

  • Ability to push back when asked or encouraged to deviate from process or your best judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with participants in an investigation and inspire trust in the investigations function; serve as an escalation point and/or take on the most complex investigations.
  • Exceptional judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • 10+ years of HR experience, including specific experience leading complex workplace investigations. Specific experience leading complex harassment/discrimination/retaliation investigations is required.
  • Set the Employee Relations strategy and approach for the team; partner with HRBP Lead to drive holistic planning across the pod model.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to easily connect with different types of people.
