Employee Relations Generalist
Your role at Sephora... As our Employee Relations (ER) Generalist, you will support the ER function and ER capability at Sephora. Reporting to the ER Director, the ER Generalist will be responsible for intaking employee inquiries, partnering on the accommodation process, conducting climate surveys, troubleshooting problems and ensuring efficient operations of Sephora’s employee complaint case management system. Your responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate our Sephora values: Passion, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect, Teamwork, and Initiative.
- Manage ER Inbox: Answer general questions that are routed to the ER inbox and work cross-functionally as needed to address issues.
- Accommodations: Act as the liaison between vendor and business; engage in interactive process; partner with business to determine whether accommodation is feasible;
- Climate Surveys: Independently conduct Climate Surveys on an as-needed basis and collaborate with ERBPs to support climate survey efforts;
- Manage ER Concerns: Manage and assign concerns to HRBPs and ERBPs based on geography and department;
- Reporting: Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain all department reporting (discount abuse, severance payments, employee complaints, workplace investigations, etc.) and correspondence for same; identify and share trends with ER Team;
- Involuntary Termination and Offboarding: Assist with the involuntary termination and offboarding process, including generating necessary paperwork for same.

- Sound judgment and discretion; able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly collaborative style and demonstrated ability to work in teams.
- High level of organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Client service mindset.
- Prior experience with case management systems helpful.
- 1-2 years of Employee Relations Experience; 3-5 years of HR Experience; prior retail experience a plus; leave of absence and accommodations experience a plus.
