Job Description

:

The Employee Relations Specialist supports Field, Corporate and Distribution partners with daily employee relations related activities such as background checks, cash over-short violations, fitness for duty calls, attendance violations and associate investigations. The Employee Relations Specialist also assists in tracking and analyzing available employee relations related data as well as reviewing existing policy and procedures to ensure compliance and/or identify process improvement.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Employee Outlet administration including intake, investigation and response
  • Intake calls and emails regarding policy violations and provide guidance
  • Conducts research on assigned compliance topics and projects
  • Attendance Policy violations
  • Background Check review and recommendations
  • Track, log and analyze employee relations related information and data
  • Cash over-short violations
  • EEOC intake/administrative and case management support
  • Fitness for Duties call and resolution
  • Severance Administration
  • Policy Development support
  • LOA/WC support
  • Exit Interviews
  • Investigation support

Scope

  • Staff supervision and Development – No
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the business
  • Location – Corporate HQ
  • Travel – 5 %
  • Decision Making – Creates policy and resolves problems. Employment decision making on select policy violations.


Requirements :

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of high volume employee relations experience or managerial experience in hospitality or retail.
  • Knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, AAP, etc.
  • Associates Degree in Human Resources or a related field is desired


Job Qualifications- Skills

  • Multi-unit experience in retail or hospitality preferred
  • Efficient at communicating both written and verbal
  • Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with personal and protected information
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work flow


Physical Requirements

General office environment requiring ability to:

  • Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
  • Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
  • Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.


The anticipated salary range for this position is $66,560 – $99,840 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
