Document Specialist For Human Resources

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for alphabetizing and filing documents into respective employee files using documented operating procedures.

2. Manage creation of new files as needed and the disposal of documents no longer needed in accordance with document retention policy.

3. Responsible for digitizing physical documents and indexing as needed in electronic document management system.

4. Process document requests from Human Resources or other departments requesting documents.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

A high school diploma and experience in a professional setting is required. Must have knowledge of computer systems and ability to use MS Office Products. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Regularly lift 20 or fewer pounds.
