The Director – Truck and Equipment will be responsible for strategically managing and growing Truck and Equipment leasing and services within a defined territory. Objectives include growing the fleet with new clients (lease and services), increasing service penetration (Core products and Non-Core), and retaining clients.
Essential Functions
· Lead the Truck and Equipment Business within a defined territory by originating new leased assets and new fleet management services, focused on new business and client retention.
· Support the macro strategy for the Truck and Equipment Group, focusing on client retention and new business acquisition.
· Collaborate with Commercial Performance team to promote new business and client retention.
· Utilize our CRM of choice (Salesforce.com) as the single source of truth, maintaining up-to-date information regarding companies, contacts, opportunities, proposals, quotes, and other information needed for the management and business continuance of LeasePlan USA.
· Manage the set of KPI’s that will support the decision-making process and build efficiencies and effectiveness of business development.
· Coordinate with other Commercial Team Business Units (Corporate Fleet, Special Programs) to up-sell the value of LeasePlan to our clients, improve margins and build strong relationships.
· Collaborate with industry partners to promote new business and client retention.
· Support in developing the yearly budget, providing inputs and strategies to achieve the numbers throughout the year with the defined territory.
Other Duties
· Develop relationships with all stakeholders within our clients and prospects, creating long-lasting partnerships and value to the business.
· Stay educated on targeted industries and equipment trends to further new business and client retention.
· Attend and participate in applicable conferences and associations.
· Assist in Collections, where needed.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications
Leadership Responsibility: This position’s leadership responsibilities involve managing politics and influencing others; enhancing business skills and knowledge; understanding and navigating the organization, managing change; and managing the work.
Work Environment: This is a remote position.
Position Type/Standard Schedule: This is a full-time position scheduled to work Monday through Friday.
Travel: Up to 50% travel expected for this role. Territory includes: SC, GA, FL, AL, LA, AR, MO, OK, NM, AZ, NV & CA. Ideally, we would want the person out of GA; secondarily, out of the southeast.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
· 7-10 years of successful experience in sales and business development.
· Proven track record in managing and directing a sales territory.
· Strong financial and leasing acumen.
· Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and demonstrated decision making ability.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Salesforce.com experience preferred.
