Job Description
Ska Fabricated is looking for a motivated Senior Sales Director for the Southeast region to join our team.
Ska Fabricating is an equipment manufacturing company specializing in packaging automation. Our customers exist in a wide range of industries - from beer to kombucha to peanut butter and paint. Put simply, if they have a product that needs to be canned or bottled, we help them do that more efficiently with our heavy-duty, reliable packaging machinery.
The Senior Sales Director is responsible for maintaining existing business and driving commercial growth and success within their defined territory. The Senior Sales Director will work directly with customers, Channel Partners, engineering, and the sales support team. The Senior Sales Director is responsible for managing Direct and Channel sales and business development within a specified territory or for specific product lines. This position reports to the Chief Customer Officer.
Basic Functions Of Position
  • Provide consultative sales to customer representatives, working either directly or through Channel partners.
  • Identify, train, negotiate and develop relationships with Channel partners within territory
  • Develop Processes to streamline the sales process to maximize the value of each relationship.
  • Work with customers, and Ska's Sales Engineering team to develop layouts, quotes and solutions for individual customer projects
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customer's employees, and senior management.
  • Identify, explore, and develop new Market opportunities through direct marketing, site visits, networking.
  • Work with Ska Fab's customer care team to ensure the smooth handoff from sales to execution for each project.
  • This person is expected to travel to areas within the US and specifically the Northeast region an average of 1-2 weeks per month, but that will vary based on scheduling and location of employee.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Identify, negotiate, develop, and grow direct sales
  • Contribute to product development discussions based on market feedback and insight.
  • Identify opportunities for additional equipment and services to be provided by Ska Fab
  • Communicate and manage an individual sales pipeline to help predict future expected sales and trends.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with channel partner representatives and senior management.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and events, training sessions at Ska Fab locations, and travel to partner and customer locations as necessary.
Requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, listen and talk about complex technical and relational and interpersonal concepts.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in packaging, equipment sales, or other related fields.
  • Able to prioritize work on multiple projects at any given time while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and self-starting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with multiple partners potentially competing on projects.
2023 base wage range $68,640 min- $82,160 mid- $90,000 max dependent on skills, qualifications, location, and previous experience. This position is eligible for commissions based on sales. This position can be located in the Southeastern portion of the US.
