Summary of Role

The Director, Solar Operations will lead operational oversight and effectiveness through Installation Managers, Install Supervisors, and Electrical Managers across roughly a half dozen states, with responsibility for a customer’s project from Install Ready to Inspection Complete. This role is accountable for ensuring the efficient operation of market teams by identifying and removing impediments to throughput across a cross-functional landscape, collaborating with Operations & Installations Managers and other operations counterparts to simplify and automate processes, accelerate cycle times, exceed KPIs, and improve cross-market outcomes. Ideal candidate located in PST or MST zone.

Strategic & Tactical

• Manages and continuously improves field operation processes and procedures.
• Provides on-site leadership for project team by building, scaling, and motivating team members to meet project and corporate goals.
• Partner with technology to enhance team efficiency and processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Thorough understanding of the rooftop solar life cycle requirements from sale through PTO
• Track record managing interdepartmentally to meet and exceed key operational and customer experience metrics.
• Solar industry experience a must.
• 7-10+ years of operational leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of process improvement and leadership capability.
• BA/BS in a related discipline Management Science and Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ year’s experience in managing multiple manager-level teams via metrics and KPIs.
