Job Description

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and charismatic Communications Ambassador to play a crucial role in spreading Eat Breathe Thrive's message. As a Communications Ambassador, your primary focus will be on nurturing and expanding our online communities. You'll be instrumental in planning and executing our communications strategy, engaging with our community through newsletters, actively participating in and sharing discussions on social media, and actively working towards increasing Eat Breathe Thrive's presence on various platforms.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Strengthen our community communication by sharing updates from Eat Breathe Thrive's Mailchimp platform.
  • Share updates from Eat Breathe Thrive's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and actively participate in community discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications Specialist and Creative Manager to develop compelling content and messaging that supports ongoing campaigns promoting Eat Breathe Thrive, Give Back Yoga, and occasionally related organizations' programs across all our communication channels.
  • Engage in sharing relevant content, establish relationships for cross-posting, and collaborate with similar organizations in the Eating Disorder and Mental Health space.
  • Effectively deliver and promote the message of Eat Breathe Thrive, with a particular focus on projects and events.


TIME COMMITMENT

Minimum of ten hours per month. Available for weekly Team Meetings on Thursdays at 3 pm BST an asset.



REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate for this volunteer position is:

  • Demonstrates good organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple social media platforms simultaneously.
  • Highly proactive and adaptable in their approach to work.
  • Displays a creative and collaborative mindset, thriving on teamwork and contributing fresh ideas.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience and activity on various communication platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Mailchimp, etc., will be considered an advantage.
  • Calm, highly personable, and socially adept, who enjoys interacting with diverse interest groups and building rapport.
  • Familiarity and experience with various design and scheduling platforms, such as Mailchimp, Meta, and Canva, will also be considered beneficial.
  • Has a solid understanding of social media and communication trends, with the ability to analyze statistics, make recommendations, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Capable of working independently and able to collaborate effectively within teams.

You will gain social media management experience and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with an international nonprofit organization. You will also be granted passes to Eat Breathe Thrive courses and events.
