We are currently seeking an Operations Director, Chief of Staff for our Corporate Communications team. In this newly crafted position, we are looking for candidates who can direct and drive strategy, planning, and operational effectiveness to support the performance and growth of the worldwide communications organization, ensuring the team can deliver their best work.

Key Qualifications

15+ years relevant experience, ideally in communication leadership roles.
Deep knowledge, experience and expertise in communications, public relations, and internal/ executive communications.
Strong leadership skills that can drive execution of strategy and expertly navigate complex and constantly evolving environments.
Ability to influence and ultimately implement strategy and process to drive growth, efficiency, and productivity.
Superior organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong experience in building consensus and driving collaboration by building positive relationships and relying on data.
Natural self starter, who can see the big picture and simultaneously focus on the details.

Description

This role reports to the head of Corporate Communications and is part of the communication leadership team, and ultimately provides input to leaders that facilitate better decision-making and guides strategic action to improve ways of working and deliver better results. This includes planning, budget management, people program development, processes, and ensuring excellent communication throughout the global communications organization, and with internal and external partners.
Working closely with communication leaders and teams, this role will identify and implement best practices across the national communications organization, as well as worldwide.
Strong interpersonal skills are key to effectively mobilize cross-functional partners and collaborate with others to accomplish a common goal and improve results. Equally important is experience in people and talent management. This individual should be a strong people leader who can implement strategy, build consensus, and navigate complex corporate settings.
We are seeking deep public relations and communications experience, first-rate executive communications and writing skills, natural problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to objectively evaluate information, make sound decisions, and create a plan of action.

In this role, you will:
Direct and drive strategy, planning, and operational effectiveness to support the smooth running, performance, and growth of the worldwide communications organization.
Develop a worldwide operational strategy that simplifies working practices, increases efficiencies, and increases the overall impact of the communications organization.
Research and understand gold standards across communications, and implement most effective processes across planning, execution, measurement, and reporting.
Using key performance indicators and analysis, provide clear guidance to leadership to aid decision making that lead to better outcomes.
Work with communications leaders to devise and implement programs for attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent in the industry.
Craft and deploy communications strategies that help create the best environment for people to do their best work with an emphasis on productivity, wellness, creativity, innovation, and fun.
Alongside communications leaders, develop budget and vendor strategies to meet required goals.
Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring consistency and improving performance.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $234,000 and $374,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
