Job Title: Communications Manager – Game Studio

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of Communications Manager at our Fortnite game studio. This hybrid position involves managing internal studio coms, including social media and PR initiatives, as well as supporting our creative team with developing and executing comprehensive social media and coms strategies for our original Fortnite Creative games in collaboration with IP holders. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of the gaming industry, particularly the Fortnite landscape, and have a proven track record of leveraging social media platforms to engage and grow audiences.

Responsibilities:

Internal Studio communications

• Monitor and engage with the B2B community particularly on LinkedIn.
• Manage the studio's social media accounts, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging, and timely content updates.
• Develop and execute social media, content and PR strategies for the studio as a whole, including social posts, PR announcements, award entries, events.

Social Media Strategy and Execution:

• Support with the development and implementation a robust coms, social media and community engagement strategy for our fully original Fortnite creative games, and IP based original games.
• Monitor social media trends, gaming industry news, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for innovative and impactful coms campaigns.
• Create engaging and shareable content to drive awareness, user engagement, and community growth across various social media platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Partnership Collaboration:

• Foster strong relationships with IP holders to facilitate ongoing collaboration and maximize the reach and impact of joint marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with IP holders to ensure successful execution of coms and social media campaigns, leveraging their brand assets and engaging their communities effectively.

Analytics and Reporting:

• Monitor social media channels, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze campaign results to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting the effectiveness of social media and PR efforts, and recommending adjustments based on data-driven insights.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in communications, social media management and PR, preferably within the gaming industry.
• Analytical mindset and proficiency in social media analytics tools to track performance and derive actionable insights.
• Strong creative mindset, with the ability to develop engaging social media content and campaigns that resonate with the gaming community.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different platforms and target audiences.
• In-depth knowledge of the Fortnite gaming landscape, understanding player preferences, trends, and social media dynamics.
