Director Of Technology Jobs

Digital Beverage Group (parent of Last Bottle Wines, WineBid, First Bottle Wines, Last Bubbles, Invino, and Global Storage Network) has an exciting opportunity for a Director Technology at our Napa Office and will consider remote candidates. This role will be the tech leader for one of the largest US-based wine ecommerce companies with responsibility spanning six web properties.In this role, you will own the product roadmaps for all companies aligning features and delivery with our annual strategic business initiatives. You will partner with key business stakeholders to define product requirements and feature scope, and our engineering team to successfully define and deliver product updates. You will also coordinate and direct delivery of features with external software development partners and commercial eCommerce platforms.You are experienced with agile methodologies and adapting processes to support the needs of your team. You have a continuously improving mindset and are passionate about experimentation, measuring outcomes and using data to drive your decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate product delivery across business and technical partners.
• Manage internal engineering team direct reports.
• Maintain Product Backlogs.
• Define Product releases.
• Define success criteria and measure delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define features and requirements.
• Prepare User Stories, including Acceptance Criteria.
• Partner with business stakeholders to create compelling product visions.
• Create relational database from scratch and implement data extraction/reporting tools.
• Manage partner vendor relationships.
• Define and own a Product roadmap aligned with annual strategic initiatives.
• Own all aspects of technology across multiple web properties, including front end and back end systems
• Prioritize Product Features using metrics and data.
• Manage migration of ecommerce platform to Shopify (project is in flight).
• Negotiate vendor contracts.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Confident with relational databases, SQL, and data analysis.
• Collaboration with business executives to define and prioritize product roadmaps.
• Compelling communicator: You have strong verbal, written and visual communication skills.
• Continuous improvement and experimentation.
• Systems thinking: You hold the big picture while you zoom in on the details.

• At least five years of previous Product Management experience in the eCommerce business domain including experience with Customer facing Web and Mobile applications.
• At least three years of previous leadership experience in a software development organization.
• Analytical thinker: You make decisions based on data and metrics.
• Experience with Shopify Plus, Klayvio, ShipHero
• Customer advocate: You know who your customer is and what will delight them.
• An undergraduate college degree.
• Product delivery using agile/scrum methodologies while working with on-site and remote teams.
• New systems implementation and BI platforms
• Experience owning product features from definition to delivery with internal teams and external software development partners.
