ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Outreach and Growth will be responsible for executing REACH’s national growth and expansion strategy. Specific responsibilities for this new position will include: (1) identifying and sourcing new institutional clients for all REACH’s programs with an initial focus on the Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) Program, (2) converting sales prospects into new clients, (3) identifying and building relationships with key funders to increase REACH’s philanthropic support, (4) building marketing partnerships across the mental health and healthcare sector to increase brand awareness and support course enrollment efforts, and (5) staying informed of health and mental healthcare industry trends.
The ideal candidate will be a purpose-driven and execution-oriented, business development leader who is curious, strategic, AND hands on with a love for learning and a deep commitment to mental health. They will be proactive, have the ability to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced and results-oriented workplace. They will also need to be collaborative and work well with people from diverse backgrounds. Overtime they will be expected to build and supervise a small team as the organization grows its programmatic, field building, and outreach activities.
Responsibilities
Business Development
●Identify and source new institutional clients for enrollment in REACH’s PPP Program, through proactive, outbound business development and lead generation projects.
●Continually develop and build a robust pipeline of prospects in the geographies prioritized in the strategic plan. Research and compile client prospect briefs and document any key learnings to refine REACH’s strategies as needed.
●Collaborate and work closely with the Director of Programs to deliver REACH’s value proposition successfully to client prospects and prepare appropriate materials for use in prospect meetings.
●Collaborate with the Director of Programs to maximize any opportunities with existing clients and relationships, including cross-selling other REACH programs.
●Ensure a well-coordinated, warm handover of any new clients to the Programs Team for a seamless transition into the next phase of service delivery.
●Maintain all records of meetings in Salesforce and other documentation to ensure that the team has a clear picture of progress, opportunities, and deadlines, and that all information is accurate, up-to-date and actively leveraged.
Fundraising Development
●Support and partner with the CEO and board members on all major fundraising initiatives.
●Primary responsibility to develop, execute, and submit all grant proposals.
●Surface and collaborate with the Program team and consultants to identify opportunities and collect information for grant proposals/reports, source storytelling material etc.
●Identify and build relationships with key funders including, foundations, corporations, and government partners both nationally, and in target geographies to build REACH’s visibility, impact, and financial resources to support training.
●Schedule in-person meetings, represent REACH at events, conferences and
networking opportunities and leverage the CEO/Board/Director of Programs to maximize donor and cultivation opportunities.
●Oversee research funding sources and trends, with foresight, to help position REACH ahead of major funding changes or trends.
●Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the development program, all donor information; provide and present statistical analysis to board and senior leaders.
Partnership Cultivation and Stewardship
● Build marketing partnerships across the health and mental health care sector to increase REACH’s visibility as a leader in mental health training and spread awareness of its highly impactful programs, sharing its work and impact as part of the solution to the mental health crisis.
●Use Salesforce to maintain a database of marketing contacts and partnerships.
● Identify and cultivate new relationships with professional medical associations, institutions, and other sector stakeholders, to create opportunities for increased promotion of REACH’s offerings (especially in REACH’s target geographies) with the end goal of increased training enrollment.
●Steward and maximize opportunities with existing relationships, especially in REACH’s targeted geographies that will continue to promote REACH as a trusted resource and leader in the pediatric mental health field.
Qualifications
●A Bachelor’s Degree.
●At least 8+ years’ professional experience, with strong sales/development experience.
●Mental health experience is ideal. Healthcare industry background is a plus, with direct institutional relationships.
●A proven track record of meeting sales targets and/or developing and managing institutional partnerships that result in positive and tangible wins and experience in managing teams.
SKILLS
●Highly organized multi-tasker with a project management mindset.
●Excellent written andoral communication skills. Ability to synthesize importantinformation efficiently and effectively.
●Demonstrated ability to close contracts and procure new sales/clients.
●Strong relationship building skills with national and local organizations.
●Comfortable using Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other presentation tools.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
●This position is flexibly based for the right candidate, with a preference for someone who lives near New York City and can come into the office as needed.
●Flexibility to travel and attend meetings and events nationally.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
● Compensation commensurate with experience
● Salary range $90,000 - $100,000
