Job Description
About Burq
Burq began with an ambitious mission: how can we turn the complex process of offering delivery into a simple turnkey solution.
We started by building the largest network of delivery networks, partnering with some of the biggest delivery companies. We then made it extremely easy for businesses to plug into our network and start offering delivery to their customers. Now, we're powering deliveries for some of the fastest-growing companies, from retailers to startups.
It's a big mission, and now we want you to join us to make it even bigger! 🚀
We're already backed by some of the Valley's leading venture capitalists, including The Chainsmokers, Origin Ventures, and Village Global, the fund whose investors include Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Reid Hoffman, and Sara Blakely. We have assembled a world-class team all over the U.S.
We operate at scale, but we're still a small team relative to the opportunity. We have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to grow while doing the most important work of your career.
Here's a quick overview of what you will be doing:
Director of Enterprise Sales
As a Director of Enterprise Sales at Burq, your overarching responsibility will be to lead and oversee our enterprise sales efforts, driving strategic growth and revenue generation. Collaborating closely with internal teams and executive leadership, you will develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with our organizational goals. Your expertise in identifying and qualifying high-value prospects will be vital in expanding our client base.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Deepening understanding of clients' operational workflows, pain points, and aligning Burq's platform seamlessly with their processes, providing tailored solutions that maximize value and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Establishing and managing a comprehensive prospect database, optimizing our CRM system, and designing targeted outreach campaigns to engage both existing and potential customers, ensuring a consistent and effective sales pipeline.
  • Developing and implementing a robust sales cycle strategy, overseeing every stage from prospect identification to deal closure, including contract negotiation and contract review processes.
  • Utilizing data-driven methodologies to analyze and establish success criteria for strategic initiatives and internal productivity, driving informed decision-making and optimizing sales performance.
  • Proactively identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities through strategic networking, market research, and partnership development, driving sustainable growth in the enterprise market segment.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, and developing innovative solutions and strategies to scale our sales operations efficiently in alignment with customer needs.
Requirements
Who You Are
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies that have resulted in substantial revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong strategic mindset and a passion for designing and executing sales strategies, defining relevant metrics for success measurement, conducting comprehensive research to identify and target high-potential companies, and developing impactful campaigns.
  • Highly organized with excellent adaptability to changing priorities and market dynamics. Demonstrates strong project management skills and the ability to drive multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen ability to listen actively, understand customer needs, and articulate compelling value propositions. Strong negotiation skills to drive successful deal closures and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Thrives in a dynamic startup environment, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, a willingness to experiment with new concepts, and an ability to leverage data to validate and optimize sales strategies.
  • Exceptional ability to understand and analyze complex customer workflows, pain points, and business requirements, translating them into effective solutions and value propositions.
  • Extensive familiarity with CRM platforms, automated outreach tools, ticketing systems, and data analytics dashboard platforms. Ability to leverage these tools effectively for sales operations and analysis. Openness to learning and adapting to new tools and technologies as needed.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in enterprise sales or a similar customer-facing leadership role, preferably within the relevant industry, such as food tech.
  • Proven experience in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer success, product, and technical teams, to drive seamless integration and exceptional customer experiences.
