THE POSITION


The City of Ventura's Information Technology Department is hiring for an Enterprise Applications Analyst! The Enterprise Applications Analyst is essential to City operations and is a valuable member of the IT team. This position plans, designs, implements, and supports complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to include Workday and Unit4 (formerly Agresso). This position will also support the City's other enterprise systems including Energov enterprise permitting & licensing software, OnBase enterprise content management, Assetworks fleet asset management, Lucity asset management system, and enQuesta utility billing system in collaboration with other IT staff. If you have experience supporting or implementing an ERP or other enterprise scale systems, then this is the position for you. What You'll Do


This position is responsible for leading the work of other Systems Analyst(s) and other information technology systems staff. You will take ownership and manage the City's suite of software ERP applications that support the City's financial management, human resource, payroll, timekeeping, labor distribution, and benefits administration operations. In addition, you will coordinate with City departments to ascertain system problems and/or define requirements related to municipal business systems. This position provides lead technical expertise and acts as a technology liaison to the Finance and Human Resources departments for ERP business systems. Who You Are


The Enterprise Applications Analyst must be a big-picture technology professional who possess a clear understanding of how the components of Enterprise Resources Planning systems work for an organization. This position must provide timely information to stakeholders so that accurate decisions can be reached. The ability to think critically about technical problems is essential for this position. Going above and beyond to constantly review, diagnose, and correct issues that arise to ensure all ERP operations are maintained. These Enterprise Applications Analyst must be able to communicate complex technical information clearly in conversational terms with a non-technical audience in both oral and written formats.

THE SCHEDULE


  • Week of September 25th - Department Selection Interviews are tentatively scheduled for this date. Qualifying candidates will be notified by email if they are invited to the panel interview process.
  • September 15, 2023 - Candidates will be notified by email of their status by this date.
  • September 29, 2023 - Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the interview by this date.
  • Week of September 18th - Oral Panel Interview are tentatively scheduled for this date. Qualifying candidates will be notified by email if they are invited to the panel interview process.
  • September 6, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. - Application Deadline. Applications must be submitted by this date to be considered for the position.

The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary and other benefits!


  • SALARY: $99,927 to $133,903 Annually DOQ

Position Qualifications


WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO QUALIFY


A combination of training, education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or a related field, and five years of progressive enterprise-level experience in programming (including SQL Server) and systems analysis, supervising technical resources, inclusive of developers and/or systems analysts; including two years of supervisory or project management experience. Previous experience in a public agency is preferred.
