Director, It Infrastructure Technology Services

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a passionate, IT people leader to join our IT Infrastructure Services team. As the Director of Technology Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing the global enterprise technical infrastructure of HFHI’s global operation, including three offices in the United States, four international offices, and services for remote employees. In this role the candidate will be responsible for setting and implementing the overall IT Infrastructure technology strategy and direction that aligns with HFHI business and operations strategy and goals. The Director of Technology Infrastructure will be responsible for leading a Global IT team responsible for managing the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless local area network (WLAN), private and public cloud infrastructure currently hosted by Microsoft Azure with some on-premises services, and oversight of other specialized hosting environment for mission critical applications.

In addition to managing the technical infrastructure, you will also be responsible for creating and maintaining secure configurations that protect the organization from cyber-attacks. Working with HFHI’s cyber security team, you will need to stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and implement best practices to mitigate these risks. You will also need to develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization can continue to operate in the event of a cybersecurity incident or other catastrophic event.

You will work closely with Senior level HFHI staff to ensure that the technical infrastructure meets the needs of the organization. You will need to be a strong communicator and collaborator, able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization to develop and implement technical solutions that meet their needs. You will be responsible for managing and oversight of enterprise wide projects and task that impact all HFHI. You will also be expected to conduct performance reviews, employee oversite, as well as development and training of team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day task management of team members ensuring projects and tasks are completed on-time and meet the defined requirements/objectives, ensuring detailed project/task management using PM disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Project Management for Infrastructure related task/projects using Program Mgmt disciplines. (20%)
• Responsible for ensuring IT infrastructure meets budget requirements and we are being good stewards of HFHI funding and resources. Continually monitor and optimize IT resource consumption to spot waste and ensure cost-efficiency. (10%)
• Other related Duties as assigned by supervisor (%5)
• Recognized as HFHI Technology Infrastructure SME and leader for HFHI. (10%)
• Provide vendor oversight and management for areas of responsibilities to ensure they are meeting the guidance/requirements within the SOW (5%)
• Deliver IT Technology solutions and services that meet all Service Level Agreements, meets HFHI expectations, aligns with current industry standards and updates, security updates, etc.., (30%)
• Develop and maintain enterprise technology architectural direction and implementation plan for HFHI to ensure technology aligns with HFHI objectives and goals. Integrated into HFHI Technology Roadmaps. (10%)
• Provide appropriate metrics and important data points to evaluate performance, recommend enhancements to systems and maintain operational efficiency of networks and cloud infrastructure. (%10)

Required:

• 10 Years of IT Technology Leadership/People Management/working in an IT technology environment experience
• Courage – We do what’s right, even when it is difficult or unpopular
• ITIL V3 Certification or demonstrated experience
• 5+ Years experience working with Executive Leadership to include presentations and developing/implementing enterprise strategy.
• Hands-on experience managing full lifecycle implementations.
• Vendor Management to include scope management that aligns with SOW, task management, and reporting.
• 5 Years of Cloud Computing Experience (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS) to include Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services

• Strong technical leadership that can motivate a technical team and take ownership of complex projects through requirements gathering, implementation, to support.
• Extensive knowledge of supporting MS SQL, Linux Operating Systems, MS Windows Server O/S, VMware, and Office products.
• Proven Project Manager with detailed understanding of PM principle and practices.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Technology and Architecture, (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS) to include operations and management of multiple environments.

• 5-10 Years Datacenter Operations and Network Operations/Engineering experience
• Experience with product evaluation/vendor selection to include RFP process.
• Extensive experience implementing/ensuring enterprise security for cloud/datacenter environments, and with network security and intrusion protections.

• PMP certification or demonstrated experience
• Proven technology leader that has a track record on creating and implementing technology strategy that aligns with business goals.

• 5 years of experience managing/leading enterprise technical project management and demonstrated ability to take a project through all phases, requirements gathering, design, implementation, and support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Detailed understanding and experience with VPN, IP Security, Virtualization, WAN technologies, VoIP/IP Telephony, SD-WAN, and TDM/Packet provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Computer related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Cert or AWS Solutions Architect Cert
• Network Certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or other related cert for network proficiency)

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.

For work locations in the US, the target hiring range for this position is $123,700 - $138,300. The salary range for this position is between $116,000 - $175,000 per year.
