Your role at Clorox:
The Director, IDEA is responsible for activation, integration, and implementation of the IDEA strategy across Clorox. This incumbent will partner with senior leaders across Clorox’s business units and functions to ensure IDEA is embedded in business strategies and plans and that we make progress against IDEA priorities for sustainable success globally. This will include working in close collaboration with our IDEA Councils to operationalize these strategies and plans.The incumbent will manage the integration of IDEA into initiatives, programs, and policies across our People& COEs and will have a deep understanding of how processes and systems work within the business and will drive the changes needed to embed IDEA into day-to-day people practices including talent attraction, hiring, development, advancement and retention. This position will also have oversight of all Employee Resource Groups responsible for augmenting and amplifying enterprise-led IDEA processes & experiences. This position will have one direct report.
In this role, you will:
People Management:
  • Lead, manage, inspire and develop direct report(s)
Strategy activation, integration and implentation:
  • Act as strategic partner and subject matter expert to business leaders on IDEA-related topics and provide coaching to leaders to foster conscious inclusion and practice active allyship
  • Design, develop, and lead the implementation of internal-facing IDEA specific activation initiatives
  • Partner with senior leaders across Clorox’s business units and functions to ensure IDEA is embedded in business strategies and plans
Partnership with internal IDEA ecosystem:
  • Create, manage and implement processes, tools, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of their IDEA efforts
  • Closely collaborate with IDEA Councils and ERGs to operationalize and amplify the relevant aspects of the IDEA strategic pillars
Partner with People& COEs:
  • Use data, analytics, research, and insights from a variety of sources to create actionable plans and customize our IDEA strategy
  • Deliver and scale IDEA education roadmap in partnership with Learning & Development
  • Integrate IDEA communications in partnership with Corporate Communications to heighten awareness, understanding, participation of IDEA initiatives and programs
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to diversify talent pipelines and develop an insights-driven and strategic global plan for diversity recruitment, development, advancement, and retention
  • Manage the integration of IDEA into initiatives, programs, and policies across our People& COEs
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
  • Established reputation, credibility and thought leadership, ideally in diverse communities
  • Minimum:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with 5+ years of active engagement with related experience managing and executing innovative DEI initiatives within a global corporate organization
  • Interaction with people processes, programs and policies at a deep enough level to enable effective partnership with internal colleagues for the purpose of addressing systemic barriers.
  • Experience leading change in complex and diverse organizations and cultures
  • Evidence of successfully developing and implementing industry-leading best practices in relation to inclusion, diversity, equity, and allyship
  • Developing a strategy and demonstrating success translating business needs into actionable, practical DEI initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience in people management

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, partnerships, negotiate and influence
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business/related field or equivalent experience is required. Advanced degree preferred.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $167,500 - $345,100
–Zone B: $153,600 - $316,300
–Zone C: $139,600 - $287,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
