We are looking for a Digital Inclusion Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of training or technology instruction along with computer proficiency and internet research skills and superior written and verbal communication skills.
The approximate salary for this position is $53,000 annually commensurate with experience with a bonus potential plus benefits.
This is a remote position for a company who is just as passionate about the employment experience as it is about its mission!

DESCRIPTION
The Digital Inclusion Specialist will provide digital literacy training, development, documentation, administrative, and research support for Connected Nation’s digital inclusion programming. This includes a variety of tasks that ensure that Connected Nation is effectively delivering training services in communities while remaining committed to the mission of bridging the digital divide. In addition, this position will provide logistics support for digital skills training events and associated outreach and awareness activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate virtual and in-person digital skills training.
- Assist the Digital Inclusion team in planning, promoting, and implementing training events.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in digital inclusion and share this knowledge with the internal Connected Nation staff and organization partners.
- Support the Digital Inclusion/Digital Works Program by advancing partner development and researching new ideas.
- Responsibilities are not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned.
- Assist with administrative tasks and research activities related to digital equity and inclusion work at a federal, state, or local level.
- Research and track federal, state-based, or private foundation funding opportunities to help communities bridge the digital divide. Contribute to grant proposals that align with the mission of promoting digital inclusion.
- Lead the Digital Inclusion/Digital Works team in developing or customizing existing training content related to job skills training, digital skills training, internet safety, etc.
- Write blogs and reports about digital inclusion strategies, data, and other related topics.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 years of training or technology instruction experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Computer proficiency and internet research skills.
- Ability to meet travel requirements.
- Ability to exhibit solid independent judgment with minimal direction.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills; must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Professional/polished presence in the virtual workplace
- Identifies and resolves problems promptly, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, and maintains confidentiality.
- Plans work activities and uses time efficiently; work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Valid state driver’s license required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit at a desk for one or more hours.
- Must have sufficient mobility to move around the office and the community.
- Ability to operate computers and equipment in the office.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
