Job Description

Action Against Hunger is seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to join our digital fundraising team.


YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE TO ENDING WORLD HUNGER BY ...

supporting new and existing initiatives to raise funds, engage and steward constituents as well as support website administration. The position will be closely involved with a broad spectrum of Action Against Hunger’s work in digital fundraising and digital campaigns, including paid media, email marketing, SMS, data and analytics, conversion rate optimization, and website updates and administration. The Digital Marketing Associate reports to and works closely with the Digital Lead. This role also supports the Senior Digital Marketing Officer as well as others on the Donor Marketing Team.


Purpose:Support new and existing initiatives to raise funds digitally, drive acquisition, engage and steward constituents as well as support website administration

Engagement:Collaborates with the digital team as well as the wider External Relations team to reach fundraising goals, reporting to the Digital Lead

Delivery:Effectively provides digital fundraising support, working across a breadth of digital fundraising activities


KEY ACTIVITIES IN YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE

Support email and SMS marketing programs (30%)

  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer and Fundraising Systems team to produce and refresh automated drip campaigns, to steward and retain donors
  • Assist with rollout of strategy and implementation of email and SMS programs, including all appeals and stewardship campaigns
  • Maintain email and SMS calendar and dashboard.
  • Review and provide feedback on copy, segmentation and provide QA on emails and SMS deployed.

Support the Paid Media Program (30%)

  • Assist on paid media campaigns including lead gen and direct fundraising
  • Assist in paid media strategy, reporting, and creative deployment
  • Manage vendor invoicing
  • Assist with creative asset creation to launch process for digital advertising where needed

Website Administration (25%)

  • QA website functionality and website changes
  • Update donate pages/forms/receipts as needed
  • Implement website updates for other teams
  • Provide general analytics and metric reporting requests from Google Analytics

Administration (10%)

Support with administrative duties such as:

  • Processing vendor invoices
  • Co-ordinating agendas and recording actions
  • Scheduling digital team meetings

Other duties as assigned (5%)

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

  • Must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business travel as well as to the missions if appropriate. While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases.
  • The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required by contact with the missions, mission security, or other obligations.

DO YOU MEET THE PROFILE REQUIRED CRITERIA?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in digital marketing

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive and collaborative
  • Experience with a variety of digital platforms – for example: MailChimp (email), Funraise (donation platform) and Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce (CRMs)
  • Two or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools like Basecamp
  • Intermediary skills in Photoshop, HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with digital marketing metrics and most commonly used digital channels · Familiarity with the WordPress CMS
  • Good editorial and writing skills, especially in web and email marketing contexts
  • Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a real “can do” attitude
