Job Description
The expected salary range for this position is $83,770.00 - $104,710.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview


As a Digital Lifecycle Specialist, you will be part of the Digital Lifecycle team, which is responsible for developing and implementing the customer digital communication lifecycle strategy for both prospects and existing supporters. Your primary responsibility in this role will be to design and implement automated communication journeys across multiple media channels ensuring that conflicts between journeys are minimized or, better yet, eliminated. Additionally, this role will collaborate with Marketing partners to achieve their growth and retention goals through journey automations.


What will you do?


  • Ensure the efficient and scalable use of the Marketing Cloud platform through the use of patterns and standards.
  • Partner with and lead cross-functional teams, including strategy, data and creative, in defining and applying automation, content and effectiveness tracking (e.g. engagement and conversion)
  • May coach and provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the Digital experience discipline.
  • Design and implement automated supporter communication strategy, historic performance metrics, journey maps and behavioral insights to inform the delivery of digital lifecycle journeys that maximize impact to Compassion’s growth and retention goals.
  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on digital lifecycle strategies, trends and technologies and champion new capabilities within the team. Provide lifecycle and loyalty marketing reporting, recommendations, and recaps to cross-functional business partners.
  • Work with various teams to continually improve the quality and quantity of data available to the Marketing Cloud user.
  • Design, implement and manage digital lifecycle journeys using Compassion’s marketing automation systems (primarily Marketing Cloud) to provide a cohesive and effective communication experience for prospects and supporters.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Provide expert advice with internal teams in the development of and reporting against digital communication.
  • Design various testing methods to identify key levers and opportunities for improvements. Monitor trends in lifecycle, acquisition and retention, best practices, technologies and techniques to evolve and develop the supporter onboarding experience.


What do you bring?


  • Preferred: Certification in a communication automation platform (e.g. Marketing Cloud or similar)
  • Seven years’ relevant professional experience, particularly in digital lifecycle, marketing automation and/or digital journeys
  • Bachelor’s degree
