About the Role

The Email & Lifecycle Marketing Manager is responsible for driving list growth, trigger revenue, and overall email engagement across our portfolio of brands. This position works cross-functionally to manage trigger strategy, build out lifecycle flows within the ESP and run a wide range of automated experiments, assessing opportunities to improve engagement and retention. A technical email operations skillset, including experience building & managing lifecycle journeys and deep knowledge of ESPs, as well as a strong analytical mindset, are essential to the role. Duties also include support on broadcast email programs as needed, including maintaining the email marketing calendar, building & scheduling emails, and reporting.


Key Functions

Own strategy, building, and testing for lead gen and trigger campaigns both in email & SMS, including creation & maintenance of journey mapping/flows

Create a center of excellence across our portfolio of brands for automated journeys and tactics, becoming a subject matter expert in journey builder tools across platforms.

Provide ongoing analysis and recommend improvements & optimizations based on performance, leveraging external and internal trends to inform decisions

Manage A/B testing roadmap to optimize targeting, messaging, and creative

Manage any creative briefs needed to support lead gen and trigger campaigns and partner closely with creative & copy teams to execute on the marketing objectives

Develop and own weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, including business and creative hindsights as well as recommendations focused on driving site traffic, revenue, and LTV

Partner with marketing team members to build out and optimize loyalty member flows


Additional Functions

Assist the broadcast marketing team in the deployment of broadcast emails, including building, QA’ing, scheduling and routing emails for approval

Special projects are needed or required


Qualifications & Requirements

4-6 years experience leading full spectrum lifecycle or retention marketing for direct-to-consumer businesses.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields.

Strong technical email operations skillset & experience working in ESPs, including triggered email journey management, list management, building, scheduling, and QAing trigger flows.

Possess keen analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think critically and use data to derive insights and inform email marketing plans.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting across all levels of the organization including to senior leadership.

Ability to both lead and drive autonomously to tight deadlines with regular updates to key stakeholders.

Strong project management skills, managing internal and external stakeholders, and multiple campaigns at once.

Possess basic knowledge of HTML; able to understand and manipulate HTML code to make minor adjustments to email templates.

Compensation & Benefits

For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
