Examination Schedule
Initial application screening will result in a Written examination. Subsequent testing dates to be posted as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards
Completion of two years of college (60 semester units or 90 quarter units), and two (2) years of experience supervising juveniles or adults in a group setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
One additional year of college may be substituted for one year of required experience.
Additional Requirement
A valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment.

Examinations
for Group Counselor III
Written Exam (Weight 100%): will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of the development, behavior, physical and psychological needs of minors; knowledge of Human Services Department programs, polices and procedures.
Applicants must attain at least 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
