Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Data Entry Specialist to join our team at a well-established company. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of our company's documents and information. Role Overview
The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of typing and data entry tasks to support our company's operational needs. This role entails creating, verifying, and updating data, as well as organizing and maintaining both physical and digital filing systems. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively under tight deadlines, exhibit a keen attention to detail, and uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Efficiently create and maintain spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy even when dealing with large sets of data.
Verify data accuracy by cross-referencing with source documents.
Update and maintain existing data records.
Retrieve information from electronic databases as required.
Organize and prepare typing material for various projects.
Generate spreadsheets and presentations by integrating data from multiple sources.
Manage physical and digital filing systems to ensure accessibility and organization.
Perform scanning and printing tasks as needed.
Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols in line with our security policies.
Qualifications And Skills
Proven track record in roles such as Typist or Data Entry Clerk.
Proficient typing skills, familiarity with touch typing a plus.
Experience with data recorders and optical scanners.
Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
Basic understanding of databases.
Strong command of spoken and written English, coupled with excellent customer service skills.
Impeccable attention to detail, with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and data security.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is advantageous.
