The Corporate Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for managing the learning and development function of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and facilitation of training and development programs that support the organization's mission and values. This position will manage direct reports and will report to the Director of Human Resources Support.
Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
- Perform other duties as assigned.*
- Build and manage relationships with internal managers and supervisors to ensure that training programs are aligned with business goals and objectives through out the organization; consult with managers to identify training opportunities that will improve employee performance and productivity; lead the process for assessments (ie 360's and Strengthfinders); partner with the Hospitality Trainers at the properties on training needs.*
- Evaluate the Learning Management System and provide recommendations to the Learning Management Administrator on changes to the course catalog. Assist with quarterly audits of class content and make adjustments in the Learning Management System. Assist with creating and facilitating training on the Learning Management system to existing and new employees.*
- Stay current on best practices and trends in the industry and adjust training programs as needed to align with the company's mission and vision and update training as needed.*
- Build and manage the learning development team by providing leadership, coaching and support to ensure the team's success
- Utilize a variety of training methods (on-the-job, classroom training, e-learning workshops and manuals etc) to oversee, present, schedule and organize training session and orientation sessions.*
- Develop, implement and facilitate training programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees, including new hire orientations, leadership development programs and on the job training.*
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
- Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience creating content development principles and practices
