Corporate & Investment Bank - Finance & Business Management - Earnings & Competitor Analysis - Associate

The CIB Earnings & Competitor Analysis Team within the P&A group: (a) manages preparation of quarterly earnings materials and documents with respect to the CIB; (b) partners with Investor Relations to support executive management meetings with external analysts/investors; (c) pushes thought leadership in competitive intelligence for a broad audience including executive management; (d) collaborates with CIB teams in support of the annual Investor Day; (e) ensures accuracy of select regulatory filings; (f) support the Governance and Controls objectives of relevant deliverables in CIB F&BM

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in developing talking points and supporting information for industry conferences and senior management meetings with external analysts/investors
• Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support JPMC's annual Investor Day presentation
• Maintaining the CIB competitor dashboard and analyzing peer earnings documents and 10K/Q filings
• Liaising with Line of Business teams/functions (Investor Relations, Corporate P&A, Line of Business (LOB) P&A, etc.) for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses
• Partnering with CIB and Corporate teams to assist in consolidating quarterly earnings prep materials and drafting earnings documents
• Supporting and driving the CIB competitor intelligence agenda including analyses of earnings results for CIB peers and industry performance for a broad audience including executive management
• Assisting with validating CIB sections in the 10K/Q in partnership with SEC reporting as well as the Annual Proxy Statement and CIB CEO letter
• Creating competitor earnings results summaries and other analyses distributed across the firm

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Working knowledge of CIB products and services with ability to grasp technical details and ensure accuracy of financial data across various reports and files
• Experience with Excel macros, Coalition Greenwich, and FactSet a plus
• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a top-tier bank, preferably in a CIB-equivalent line of business or equity/credit research with focus on financials
• Strong understanding of and ability to analyze financial statements and data for J.P. Morgan and its peers in the CIB space (primarily U.S. and European Investment Banks)
• Advance MS Office skills (primarily PowerPoint/Excel)
