Investment Management Associate Jobs

This international law firm's investment management group are seeking to hire an Associate with 1 - 4 years of experience to join a team of talented professionals in New York.

The Role

• You also will be encouraged to seek out opportunities to work on public service matters. For example, the Firm has a track record on a pro bono basis of litigating large game-changing cases that protect the rights of some of society’s most vulnerable people.

The Team

• Their interdisciplinary team is made up of skilled attorneys who dedicate their practices to serving the firm’s alternative investment clients.
• This diverse and dedicated team represents over 35 of the largest and most well-established institutional investors, positioning the team among the country's most active investment management practices.
• The team provides sophisticated and efficient counsel to clients on a broad range of alternative investment transactions and advises institutional investors, including public pension funds, universities, and endowments.

The candidate should expect to develop a business and investment skill set and have experience with drafting complex documents, attention to detail, and strong negotiation skills are required.

As well as actively participating on conference calls with clients and eventually negotiating key terms and structuring the investments with the sponsor or opposing counsel.

Job Requirements:

• The ability to handle significant individual responsibilities
• 1 - 4 years of investment management, business, and/or corporate transactional experience
• Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law required
• A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills
• Enthusiasm to work with and build a diverse team
