About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and technically experienced Corporate Compliance Lead to join the Papa organization. This person will be managing overall company regulatory compliance requirements, cloud platform compliance audits and lead the operational healthcare compliance requirements for Papa.
To be successful, you are organized, resourceful, possess healthcare compliance domain knowledge, and have a “can-do” attitude. You will be a key member of our Compliance team. In this role, you will be required to demonstrate the ability to analyze compliance requirements and provide pragmatic solutions and recommendations.
Your knowledge and experience in HITRUST CSF, NIST, ISO 27xxx, and SOC 2 will be an asset.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage and direct healthcare compliance training and educational programs
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local compliance regulations
  • Work with key stakeholders across Papa to identify risks and controls that need to be put in place
  • Lead healthcare compliance initiatives across all areas of Papa
  • Ensuring that Papa comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), relevant Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and accreditation standards by implementing and administering practices, programs, and policies
  • Work closely with others in related departments, including legal, HR, IT, Regulatory, and Finance for effective investigation, resolution, reporting, and remediation of compliance issues
  • Carry out risk analysis on healthcare compliance, discover areas of potential compliance risk and vulnerability, and create and implement solutions to eliminate the potential risks
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through implementation and testing of controls
  • Responsible for completing healthcare-related audit requests and communicating audit progress and findings by following CMS guidelines and protocols
  • Provide compliance leadership and guidance to the entire compliance team and be able to train where appropriate
Requirements:
  • Medicare health plan related compliance experience a must
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • BA/BS in a business-related field and/or equivalent years of experience working with healthcare compliance preferred
  • Experience with using compliance auditing tools
  • Experience with completing and seeing through compliance Corrective Actions, Monitoring & Auditing of downstream entities, training programs, and Medicare Advantage regulations
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to clinical healthcare, HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, GDPR, and CCPA
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks
  • At least one of the following certifications is preferred: CHC, CPHRM, CPHIMS, CHRC, CRISC, CISA
  • Proactive personality with a proven track record exhibiting ownership
  • Medicaid experience a plus but not required
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Healthcare Compliance
