Summary

The Compliance Analyst is primarily responsible for the coordination and maintenance of various control measures for specific processes within the Credit Union, including vendor management, system access, and policy and procedure review.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Supports the Compliance & BSA Officer with coordinating the Credit Union’s new vendor onboarding and ongoing due diligence process, including document collection, assigning review tasks, and obtaining Management approval.
  2. Prepares review templates for vendor documents (e.g. SOC reports; audited financials) for Management and subject matter expert review and approval. 
  3. Assists with the tracking and reporting of vendor contract deadlines, including termination dates and renewal periods.
  4. Assists with the Credit Union’s semi-annual Business System User Access Review.  Tasks include the preparation of reports, templates, and communications to the organization.
  5. Maintains the Credit Union’s policy and procedure database to ensure timely revisions and approvals are completed and that outdated documents are removed.
  6. Provides assistance to Fraud Operations Manager; acts as secondary backup to various fraud related tasks.
  7. Assists Compliance Officer with internal and external audit coordination.
  8. Promotes and demonstrates a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
  9. Keeps abreast of industry developments, including but not limited to, changes in regulations and technology.
  10. Ensures adherence to the Credit Union policies/procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations
  11. Performs additional duties as required.

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills  

  1. High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related field is strongly preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered.
  2. One (1) year of experience in a similar role demonstrating advanced organizational skills; follow-up requiring interaction at all levels of an organization; and managing multiple competing priorities is strongly preferred.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Strong decision making and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/duties.
  5. Trustworthy with the ability to maintain highest level of integrity and trust.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Environmental / Physical / Mental Requirements  

  • Accuracy is essential; must possess the ability to proofread documentation and correspondence to insure they are free of errors and fraud.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a workstation and working on a computer 
  • Smartphone with current iOS/Android OS  
  • Ability to clearly communicate with coworkers and customers via email, chat, teleconference, and/or phone.
  • Stable internet connection with speeds high enough for video conferencing and screen sharing

Hourly Wage: $24.04 to $29.81 hourly. Individual wage will vary based on skills and experience.  Discretionary incentive compensation may be available based on company and individual performance.
